Jim Hawes OS

‘Jim Hawes’ is a seedling of the species H. pycnophylia. It was named by Bill Meyer in the late memory of Hosta lover/hybridizer Jim Hawes. This Hosta is medium in size with leaves that emerge bright yellow/chartreuse in the spring and fades into a lime like chartreuse color (that never turns to green) throughout the remainder of the season. It can produce beautiful striped blueish purple flowers but rarely set seed.
